Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking is can’t-stop-watching television, and if you think you are too high brow for reality shows, this one is the exception to your rule. Matchmaker Sima guides Indian and Indian-American clients through the arranged marriage process, and we get a view into personality disorders, pathologically-controlling parents, and some truly nice folks who just want to find love. I find Family on the Edge discussing the characters even the next day, which is a sign of just how compelling they are. The show is both hilarious, troubling, and heart breaking.
My question: How much does Sima make for each match? I hope it’s a lot for the stuff she puts up with.
