Slow Burn is a historical treat. The first season covered Watergate, and the second, the Clinton impeachment. Yet another season covered the Iraq War. The most current follows the events of one year – 1977. Topics include the controversy around Alex Haley’s Roots, the paparazzi’s gall when Elvis died, and a New Jersey girl’s move to oppose the religious tone of the Pledge of Allegiance. If you’re a modern US History enthusiast (like I am), I’d recommend this latest season (although the first two seasons were even better in case you didn’t hear them!).
